Bauyrzhan Abuov, Director of Astana International University
Astana International University (AIU) was established by N.A.Nazarbayev – International Science Complex «ASTANA». The complex creates innovation research and includes international universities with a new generation in Nur-Sultan.
AIU prepares unique specialists, analysts, and researchers – the future of Kazakhstan, for effective service for the benefit of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and the whole world.
British Study Centres gave practical instruction in CLIL methodology and helped to build the course participants' confidence in promoting and managing a communicative and student-centred classroom in English.
By including workshops and incorporating opportunities for micro-teaching, teachers experiment with a range of activities and give feedback on each other's materials and techniques. Participants experienced 'learning by doing', 'learning by discovering', 'learning by applying' and 'learning from reflection'.
