Imperial College London Recognises OET Test

Imperial College London (ICL) now accepts the Occupational English Test (OET) as a way for international medical students to prove their English language ability.

Students can use OET as part of their application to study international postgraduate courses in medicine. By passing the OET, healthcare professionals can prepare for entry to study at ICL, widely recognised as one of the world's best universities, with an excellent reputation for research and study in the field of medicine.

This is just the latest acceptance of the value and quality of OET by an internationally recognised institution, further proof that the OET test is the best way to improve a career in the healthcare industry.

BSC is an authorised OET Premium Preparation Provider, which means our teachers have the specialist training needed to deliver the course and the lessons have been designed in-house and approved by OET. BSC also recently added the Online OET Exam Preparation course to its portfolio to meet the increasing demand for remote learning.

One of the main reasons OET is chosen as a quality indicator of English language skills is that it remains relevant to a realistic workplace context by ensuring the test materials are updated with the latest research.

The Occupational English Test (OET) is an English language test for healthcare professionals, although it is commonly misunderstood to be a test of medical knowledge. The examination assesses a candidate's ability to effectively communicate in a healthcare environment in English.

"I wasn't just preparing for the OET exam, I was also getting huge motivational support from my teacher."

Ganira from Azerbaijan, passed her OET test first time after studying with BSC.

Recognition for OET continues to grow around the world. It is recognised by healthcare councils, governments and universities in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Singapore, Namibia and Ukraine. You can read more about who recognises OET.
