SE-ED runs a project called “Red Truck – the source of knowledge”. The project started in August 2019 in order to promote literacy among low-income children. The aim is to provide access to reading for children in Thailand who who do not have money to buy new books.
The Red Truck has travelled to many schools all over Thailand for the past year with the mantra "Read= Give." The more students read, the more SE-ED give. Students can easily take part in this activity by choosing any books to read to collect points. For every 100 minutes they read, SE-ED donates one free book to schools or students.
British Study Centres has provided SE-ED staff with free online English training to help in this initiative. Their team members were able to join live group sessions where they were coached by one of our expert teachers.
The online sessions were delivered via the latest videoconferencing software. In addition to the live teacher-led online lessons, SE-ED team members also had access to hundreds of hours of specialised English material for guided self-study in their myBSC account.
